Winter and Spring

In April, I will present at this year's International Small and Medium Wind Conference in Glasgow, again.

Small- and Medium-Wind research effort taking shape at CREDIT.

2011

Autumn and Winter

Still writing about how to model small wind turbines. Preparing Small- and Medium-Wind research effort at CREDIT.

Summer

I am currently writing about how to model small wind turbines; I recently gave a talk about this to the School of Computing in DCU.

Winter to Summer

Until June 2011, I worked on the A6000-5.5 MkII machine with Ampair.

2010

Summer to Winter

From July 2010, I worked for Ampair; much of my work was on the development of the A6000-5.5 MkII 6 kW (5.5 m) wind turbine; I was particularly interested in system speed control.

Spring to Summer

In April, I presented at International Small Wind Conference in Glasgow; you can read about our work here.

During the first half of 2010, theoretical work on the First Rotor project occupied most of my time. In early 2010, I also spent a little time considering problems for a wave energy company.

2009

From August onwards, I worked full-time on the First Rotor project, where my technical role was to understand the aerodynamics and mechanics of a proposed blade-integrated overspeed device.

In May 2009, I began work with CREDIT on an project to assess the state of development of urban resource assessment. This was a short-term project that ran from May through until August.
